FEDERAL INSULATION REBATES

Have just been informed of the new Federal Insulation Rebate that is being offered and it seems if you are eligible you should be installing insulation. The Government Rebate is for either your own home or rental property and the rebate is currently $1600-00. For more information please check this link as it provides more comprehensive information. If the insulation is more than $1600-00 of course then you are responsible for the amount that is over.

    If you get your place insulated and it is under $1600.00 do you have to pay for it yourself and claim it back, or do you get the insulation crowd to claim it back from the government?

    If the insulation is under $1600-00 the supplier claims the charge directly from the Government. If over $1600-00 you will only get an account for the amount over $1600-00. A standard three bedroom house should be covered by the $1600-00 rebate. I hope this helps
